Dog friendly, we’re a common stop for walkers, cyclists, and riders, as they cross over Caerphilly Mountain giving them a chance to wet their whistle for the next leg of their journey, or enjoy a hearty lunch at the half-way point before they begin their journey back. We also have a large car park for those who want to come straight here.

It also boasts a function room that can accommodate 40 people. With a coach house look & feel the pub is attractive to customers all year round.

The Butcher's Arms has much of the atmosphere of a country pub, despite being in a suburb of Cardiff, albeit on a historic side-street, close to the Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral. Today the Butcher's offers good beer in a comfortable atmosphere in one of the City's more pleasant areas.

Opened in late 2024 in a converted cafe in the heart of the Birchgrove shopping area. It operates as a cafe during the daytime then as a pub from 1600 onward, when it starts serving alcohol. The premises are bright and modern with comfortable seating.
